End-of-Summer Scoop

The seemingly unlimited string of triple digit temps can only mean one thing - summer is going out with a bang!

Share all your summer-fun adventures and back-to-school hilarity with us at our longest running neighborhood event: The WPA Labor Day Cookout: Monday, September 7th from 5-7pm. We'll have the Hamburger Man flipping burgers, a giant waterslide, a small pool for splashing, city council leaders, popsicles, and our bike parade. Decorate those bikes, trikes, and scooters, and join us on Cumberland; we can't wait to catch up with you! If you're planning on the Hamburger Man for dinner it's $13/adult & $10/child (in advance) or $18/person at the event. You can venmo @lisadunright or drop cash or a check made out to WPA at 1003 N. Waterview or 1003 Blue Ridge Pl. Please consider donating $5, $10, or $20 to cover a meal for our firefighters and city council members - we love showing our appreciation for all the ways they show up for our community throughout the year!

Doug with Dallas Curb Painting & Parking Lot Striping is almost wrapped up and the curbs sure look BEAUTIFUL! If you see Doug zipping around, give him a shout of appreciation. Thank you for your kindness, consideration, and patience as we tackled this project - y'all are the absolute best.

The WPA Beautification Committee's August Yard of the Month winner is 807 N. Waterview - cheers to the Gibneys for making our neighborhood a more beautiful place to live. We'll move the sign and announce next month's winner via socials on Sept. 1st. As many of us settle back into a routine, we're excited for the opportunity to connect with friends and neighbors more regularly and hope to see you at our Labor Day event!
